For just over a year I worked at an internet startup here in Minneapolis called InvisibleFriend. The company was developing a Chrome plug-in that shares all the content that you see on the internet anonymously. Since it was being built from the ground up, it gave me a unique opportunity to create for the product itself, as well as early promotional content and a storefront that functioned as a giant billboard in the heart of Uptown.
While this specific app didn't survive, other companies have released similar products. The Chrome plugin Muzli feels analogous to the original vision for this product (minus the anonymity element).
The first thing that the company needed was some business cards. Since we were operating on a shoestring budget, it made the most sense to create a simple design that could be easily used by anyone at the company, but mostly they were used to get the word out about the product.
